Experience
Working with karley
Since launching West & Pine Photography in 2019, I’ve had the privilege of documenting love stories throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Maine and even traveling as far as Jamaica to photograph a destination wedding. Over the years, I’ve photographed weddings of all sizes and styles, always bringing a calm, organized presence and an eye for authentic, timeless moments. I especially love incorporating film photography into wedding days, creating romantic, nostalgic images that beautifully complement the digital gallery and will be treasured for generations.

FAQ
01. How do we book you for the wedding?
Booking is simple! Start by filling out my wedding inquiry form so I can learn more about your day and confirm that I’m available. From there, I’ll reach out to schedule a phone consultation where we’ll talk through your vision, timeline, and the photography experience you’re looking for.
If we’re the perfect fit, I’ll send over your contract and retainer invoice. Once the signed contract and retainer are received, your wedding date is officially reserved on my calendar. From that point forward, I’m here to help every step of the way. I help you with timeline planning and am always here, making sure your photography experience is as seamless as possible.

02. Do you travel for destination weddings?

Without a doubt. Whether you’re exchanging vows on a mountaintop, along the coast, or in another country, I’d love to be part of your celebration. Traveling has always been one of my greatest passions, and documenting love stories in beautiful places is an incredible privilege.
Destination wedding collections are customized based on your location and travel needs, with all travel quoted upfront so there are no surprises. Wherever your story takes you, I’m ready to follow and document it with the same care, artistry, and attention to detail that every West & Pine couple receives.

03. How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?

Family portraits don’t have to be chaotic, and I make sure they’re not. Before your wedding, I’ll have you complete a detailed photo questionnaire so we know exactly which groupings are most important to you. Together, we’ll create an organized shot list that serves as our roadmap for the day.
Having a plan in place allows us to move through family portraits efficiently while ensuring no one important is overlooked. It minimizes downtime, keeps your guests from waiting around, and most importantly, gets you back to celebrating with the people you love. My goal is to make family photos feel seamless, organized, and stress-free, so you can spend less time posing and more time enjoying your wedding day.

04. Do you offer engagement sessions?

Absolutely. Engagement sessions are one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience because they give us the opportunity to get to know each other before your wedding day. You’ll become comfortable in front of my camera, learn how I guide and pose couples naturally, and walk away with beautiful images that can be used for save-the-dates, your wedding website, or simply to celebrate this season of your life.
By the time your wedding day arrives, you’ll know exactly what to expect, making the entire photography experience feel effortless and relaxed.
